are asked to encourage their friends and neighbors who have children of

Children & Youth Education
Team has chosen to help support two specific needs of the Karen
community.
1. The Karen children take “English as a Second Language” classes during the summer. The transportation cost is great and not covered by the public schools. The Global Offering from January 1 – June 1 went to help cover those costs. 2. Before refugees are set up with Ramsey County and receiving aid they need help with rent deposits, furniture, clothes, and food. The Global Offering June 1 – January 31 will be given to their fund that helps new refugees get established. If God puts it in your heart to financially support this cause, you can either put an offering in the Globe, which is set out during the offering each Sunday, or you may put your donation in the offering plate and mark it “Global Mission”.
Money
collected as of 9/21/08 - $235.14

We are looking for a time
for singing and
musical fun with preschool and elementary age children.
Parents, please weigh in on this if your child(ren)
would like to join the group! The two
top suggestions are Sunday morning and Wednesday before the adult choir
rehearsal. Please contact Jo Ann

Sunday School
Classes meet from 10:45 - 11:45
a.m.
Galilee provides children and youth, ages 3 through 18 an opportunity to attend Sunday School. The curriculum used is Concordia Publishing House’s “Growing in Christ”. The children not only learn the stories of the Bible, but also get exposed to Luther’s catechism, as well as receive instruction on the meaning of the church year and the worship service. Youth 16-18 have a chance to hang out in the Senior High Room and choose how they would like to structure their Sunday School experience. There will be no sign-up for Sunday School. Please let the instructor know on the first day whether your child will be attending on a regular basis, or sporadically throughout the year, so materials can be planned accordingly. |
